In general, sites slow down and crash, especially when they have a lot of content or flash content after the update. I didn't have this problem previous to the update. Some sites work fine, like Facebook, but then my favorite game sites, which use flash, (e.g. Bonk.io, armorgames, etc.) as well as any site which contains a lot of adds, (which are also usually flash based, I think), will freeze. It forces me to open task manager to close it usually. The actual browser window won't let me close it, although the X on the desktop tab at the bottom of the screen will if there's only one tab open. Further, sometimes after closing this way, I'll re-open firefox, and it'll send up a "firefox is still running, close it first" error message. If I try exiting the tab, if several are open, which occasionally works, the website will unfreeze in the .3 seconds before the tab closes after I hit the close button. Is there a way to fix this? I've checked and I have the most recent Flash. Is there some memory allocation that I need to increase from standard, or do I just have to wait until they fix the update?

The only plugins I have are in the screenshot, and I had them on the previous firefox iteration. I have a theme, which shouldn't affect anything, and I found code that I used to bring back the curvy tabs, but which still shouldn't affect anything, especially because this was a problem before I found that code.

Make sure the 57.0.1 fix took : Go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security then under Permissions check the setting to prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

If you had to apply fix, TEST If fix was there then below Please :

Go the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.

Test...... See what turning on use Hardware Acceleration does and TEST. If issues turn back off.
