Please prodvide a step by step guide if possible to recover old data (bookmarks, add ons etc) to on my imac? I'm not pc savy so, in the simplest terms would be appreciated.

Type about:profiles in your Address Bar.

Hello, open Firefox and go to about:profiles, then click on the Open Folder button, you will see your profile opened in a new Finder window. On the desktop there should be a Folder called 'Old Firefox Data' open it, and copy all the files from there, into the current/new profile. Then restart Firefox. If this solved your problem, mark as solution.
