Mozilla is divided into several separate sites.
Go to your user profile for that website and use the Forgot Password link.
However, if you are talking about sync;
Resetting the sync password, or changing its e-mail, will remove all data from the servers.

This is going nowhere. I use Firefox/Mozzila for email only and cannot login to an account I'VE USED FOR YEARS. i cannot login, SO THERE IS NO WAY TO ACCESS ANYTHING. i HAVE DELETED IT FROM MY COMPUTER, SO WHY CAN i NOT JUST START OVER ?

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.
