details are the same.... 53.0.3 just installed itself when I rebooted my machine. [I didn't want to update but I didn't get the choice...again] and now I need to convert a Word doc to pdf and Primo pretends to format the doc for about 1/2 second and then nothing.... the settings on Primo are fine and it was working before the restart. But I get no conversion or auto start to Acrobat Reader AND no new pdf... So incredibly frustrating - full workload today & no way to produce docs to send to clients....

How does Firefox "enter the picture" when going to convert a Word document to PDF using Primo PDF?

Do you have Primo set to view PDF files that are downloaded via Firefox? If so, try changing that back to having PDF files displayed inside Firefox.

Hmm no - that isn't the solution. I have uninstalled FF, installed previous version, uninstalled Primo, reinstalled it...and ... nothing. So I have given MS Office and Primo pdf the flick. Downloaded Libre office which exports to pdf easily. Oh and given FireFox the flick as well. I am done trying to retrieve documents and applications that worked before an update, but don't after it. This isn't the first time that an FF update has played hell with my laptop and work process. And then I waste 24 hours of my valuable time trying to remediate the s&%t that comes from the hubris of releasing updates that interfere with other applications. I'm done with Firefox. I only stayed with FF this long because i don't want my bookmarks in the [so called] cloud. I've found that elsewhere - plus there is no need to update this browser every 6 days [or so it seems].
