Cannot send email via yahoo smtp from work server but can from home server ?
I use thunderbird for sending mail through SMTP provided by yahoo mail. This seems to work fine everywhere except at work ms.isibang.ac.in . I am not sure how to resolve this ? Any help would be appreciated.

I put in the IP address of smtp mail server.(106.10.150.171) and reentered my password. It did not work. I kept trying various things for many days. I emailed my system administrator about ping time difference between yahoo server and gmail server. Nothing worked.
This morning, I entered an incorrect password. So it asked me to re enter it again and then smtp started delivering mail again. So it is working now. Not sure if something else changed along the way.
