Firefox does not remember the history after closing the browser. I told firefox to remeber the history. I can repear the past session but that is not what I want. My settings are in the uploaded image.

Hi Emiel, can you try re-running Places Maintenance (mentioned in your earlier thread firefox doesn't remember history) to see whether that makes any difference.
I don't think there is anything wrong with your Privacy/History settings because you are able to retain your session history file. I am attaching a screen shot of the default settings for reference, which are shown when you select "Use custom settings for history" (sorry, I don't know the wording in your language).
Do you use any "cleaning" software that might be touching or removing the places.sqlite file where Firefox stores browsing history (and cookies)?
