Up until yesterday my phone was fine but since i recharged yesterday ive been unable to send any txt messages. I can recevice all calls and txts and make calls and send mms messages but when i try to send a normal txt it tells me that my service is unavalible. My phone is only a few months old and all software is up to date. I even brought a new sim today but still the same problem. Please help

Hi turtle6,

I understand you are having problems sending SMS texts from your ZTE Open C device, and that only MMS texts seem to be working.

Please certify that the APN and Mobile settings are configured correctly according to your carrier's instructions.

If after configuring your APN settings, you continue to have this issue, please reply to this message with the following information:

  • What is the OS version and Build ID found in the Device Information page? Please visit this link if you need help finding the Build ID of your phone.
  • Please provide the exact steps to reproduce the issue you are encountering.
  • Who is your current cell phone carrier?
  • How often do you encounter this issue?

Please be sure to include as much detail as possible, including any websites that may exhibit this issue, and any error messages that you may be receiving, exactly as they appear. This will ensure that we have all the necessary information to investigate this behavior.
