Hello, Thanks for letting us know about your problem. It seems that you need to add the APN configuration manually. For doing so, please do following.

Activating Internet

  1. Open the Settings then go to Cellular & Data
  2. Then tap on Data settings menu
  3. In the APN field, type the APN you got from your your Operator. (ie: tfdata)
  4. Tap on Ok which is in top right corner.
    • Now your internet should start working.

Activating MMS

  1. Open the Settings then go to Cellular & Data
  2. Then tap on Message settings menu
  3. In the APN field, type the APN you got from your your Operator. (ie: tfdata)
  4. Then scroll down and in the MMS proxy field, type the MMS proxy you got (ie: mms3.tracfone.com)
  5. like that, fill up the MMS port and MMSC field (ie: MMS port: 80 , MMSC: http://mms-tf.net)
  6. Tap on Ok
    • Now your MMS should start working.

I hope this instruction solve your problem. Please get back to us by letting know if it works or not.

So i went on a trip with my wife and i had a t-mobile sim thru straight talk and she has a at&t sim thru straight talk - we went on a train ride. I was trying to surf the net on my phone and i was unable too but she was - i was like what the hell. i checked her apn and my apn and they were different she put hers in thru an email as did i from straight talk - i learned that apn settings are different even though thru straight talk provider - your sim card whether it is at&t or t-mobile or any other there going to be different. So then i realized even though t-mobile and at&t r partners - i am roaming on at&t network so talking was no issue but browsing and data were - with this said if your roaming on someone elses network your data will never work thru Straight Talk as they do not support it. Needless to say i bought a $4 att standard sim for my zte open c. not nano - in case anyone is wondering. In my current case At&t is better for less roaming coverage.

Hi Jeradw00,

Thanks for sharing your findings, I'm happy to hear that you were able to identify the root cause of your data connection issues.

I am currently using T-mobile with the Firefox OS Flame device, and in some areas I get little coverage, but I suspect this has to do with the Flame device not supporting all of T-mobile's radio frequencies.

Thanks again! =)
