Hello, I'm having issues with Google Widevine CDM on Amazon Prime Video, Spotify but also some websites using HTML5. YouTube videos work correctly.

I've checked all topics in standard Firefox support, but did not find solution.

It looks like Google Widevine CDM is not working correctly, but it appears as active and actual version in browser settings. I'm not sure, if this is somehow related, but recently I migrated from Windows 7 to Win 10 doing upgrade, not fresh install (not sure though, if on Win 7 it was working, or not. I wasn't using Prime or Spotify while on Win 7). Today I tried to reinstall the browser, so I have fresh settings right now, but still the same issue. Will appreciate any support.

Regards, Marcin

Please translate the warning you posted.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version?cache=no Did you update Firefox to the latest version?

Version 95.0, first offered to Release channel users on December 7, 2021 Version 95.0.1, first offered to Release channel users on December 16, 2021 Version 95.0.2, first offered to Release channel users on December 19, 2021

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1359657#answer-1463359 and updated to 95.0. . . . I finally found where the plugin "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc." was not updating to the newest version of December 1, 2021. Ver #4.10.2391.0

cor-el; Make sure you have the latest Widevine version. You can toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components.

You can possibly check the XHR requests in the Browser Console if this doesn't work.

Sorry for that polish version, here's ENG:

Your web browser is missing a digital rights component. In your web browser's address bar, type about:addons, press Enter, and then on the left, click Plugins. For the Widevine Content Decryption Module, select Always Activate, and then refresh the video's page and try watching the video. If the video doesn't play, go back to Plugins, click the gear icon at the top of the page, and then click Check for Updates. When the plugins have updated, refresh the video's page, and then try watching the video.

And in past few days I have checked all the things you mentioned above, but with no results. that's why I asked here. Widevine Content Decryption Module version is 4.10.2391.0. I tried to look for updates, there are none. I tried to switch DRM off and on, but still the same.

Try rebooting the computer.

I've been trying to solve this on my own for a couple of days. PC was rebooted several times during those days.

Edit: I installed Nightly couple minutes ago, and it's the same (Amazon Prime, Spotify not working). Yesterday I tried with Opera, both not working. On Edge Amazon is not working, but surprisingly Spotify works ok.

Only Chrome works correctly with all sources.

I'm not sure if it's any help, but maybe it will give some new ideas.
