Every time I go to open a web page in a new tab, it loads up with a blank screen instead. Only after I drag the tab into a new window, can I see the page that I loaded. I've had this issue multiple times before, usually after Firefox updates.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
