when firefox asks me whether to save passwords i always click remember because i don't like to enter the passwords again and again and i only use this computer. recently, the stored passwords are being cleared when i start firefox. and firefox asks whether to save passwords again and again. i have tried the solutions: there are no exceptions, no private browsing and passwords are cleared after shutdown option is not selected. is there a solution for this????

Check you don't have the follow box ticked:

Go Options --> Options --> Privacy tab

"Clear History when Firefox closes" - untick. If it's ticked check to see if you have also ticked "Saved Passwords"

If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
