I did not transfer my roadrunner account to my new computer and don't have my roadrunner password to restart it
My old desktop used Windows 7 and I used Thunderbird as my mail. I had a tech help and transfer files to a new desktop running Windows 11. Mail came over but he said he couldn't use thunderbird for a reason??? and switched it to Spectrum Mail which I don't like. I would like to restart a thunderbird mail account again but don't remember my password and my old computer has been destroyed. Any way to do this without starting from scratch and losing all my old mail and contacts?

There was while you had the old computer so you could transfer data from one to another. Not now you have nothing to retrieve your data from unless you have backups and even then we frequently find the Thunderbird data is not included in the backup.
We expect users to be able to do transfer their setting and data from one device to another unaided. A tech than can not do it leaves me questioning their technical ability. Perhaps it is if it does not have a Microsoft logo they have no idea. That is not all that uncommon with folk with some small skills in Microsoft office mistaking those for real computing skills.

Thunderbird has no password, so all you need it your spectrum mail password and to use the settings spectrum publish on their web site for your "style" of email address. They have loads of legacy addresses and have a number of setting based on which legacy account type it is.
See server settings based on domain here https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/mobile-email-setup
Note here that some third party antivirus product make installing a new account in Thunderbird most difficult to nigh on impossible, so I recommend nothing but Microsoft Defender while setting up Thunderbird. Life is so much easier when you have a known baseline for installation on.
