Work Account?

more options

Hello Support,

I noticed when I used "bing" to search mobile web sites, it would not open pages unless I pressed F5 to refresh the page? In some case idmobile.co.uk would not work or open the page?

So I decided to change the browsers search tool and chose "duckduckgo". I then noticed at the top of the web page that it says firefox was being managed by my "work account".....? I really don't want my work to see or even manage my personal firefox account, and I would like to know, how I can stop work from accessing firefox please? Afterall I never set it up for work use, as this is my perosnal computer and nothing to do with work at all?

Perhaps you can advise me what best to do.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks

Kind regards Stuart.

Hello Stuart

To remove the work-related management from your personal Firefox, you'll need to check and remove any installed policies.

In Firefox, type about:policies into the address bar. This page will show you if any policies are currently active on your browser. If you see policies listed here, it confirms that your browser is being managed.

For Windows the policies are stored in Registry. Maybe you need to find and remove it. The paths is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox.

Be careful when editing the registry. It's recommended to back up your registry before making any changes.
