I got a notification from Firefox to update the browser. Which is fine. But, when I tried to go to History to delete the downloads and previous months history. It will not allow me to delete the months history. It does nothing.

I hope you have a resolution for this issue. Thanks.

Search Suggestions stopped showing up v149 desktop

yah all of sudden no search suggestions are showing up in my search bar, i have Show search suggestions and

Show search suggestions in address bar results both selected too, and only have Google for a search engine.

I have also tried in no extension mode, and still doesnt work

At some time after one of the updates, my passwords disappeared and no matter what I do, I need to reload them every time I start firefox as they are always missing.

When I open a new tab, I have it set to the home page. When I go there, it adds the most visited sites, yes? ok. but...now when I go there, it has a bunch of sites past my pinned ones. When I dismiss one, all of them disappear except my pinned. A few minutes later, I open a new tab, and theres a bunch of new sites again, but I can only dismiss these one at a time, and they again disappear for some minutes, or a couple/few tab openings. Bug or feature? how do I fix it?

I’m experiencing an issue in Firefox where a web-based application loads the main interface, but the interactive content does not appear or remains blank. This happens consistently when the site is accessed through a CDN, while direct access to the origin server works correctly.

The issue seems related to delayed or timing-out requests (similar to a 524 timeout), where dynamic content fails to load within expected response times. Static elements render properly, but anything requiring API or server-side processing does not display.

This behavior also affects browser-based puzzle apps like Spelling Bee, where the gameplay area may freeze or fail to load entirely in Firefox. I’ve tested across multiple networks and devices, and the issue persists only in this routing setup.

Has anyone experienced similar rendering or loading issues in Firefox related to CDN timeouts or delayed responses? Any troubleshooting tips or Firefox-specific settings that could help would be appreciated.

I really REALLY don't like tab buttons

How can I make sure they NEVER come back ?

I have tried the violentmonkey script, doesn't work, I have it right now and look, there are TWO tab buttons on my tab !

I had 11031 tabs open. I decided to save all of them because my browser was getting slow.

Just running "select all" was taking minutes, and resizing the window was very very sluggish.

So I selected them all

then I added them to a bookmark folder

Then I went in the toolbar where that bookmark folder was created, and I middle-clicked on it to open all tabs again.

And then the warning "you are about to open X tabs" appears

And the problem is that the number is 8571 not the 11031

Why is firefox losing 2460 of my tabs ?

Also, bookmarking all the tabs, took 4 seconds, while selecting all tabs too minutes. I think the "select all" function could do well to have some optimization as it starts getting slow with as few as 1000 tabs. And

I decided to try exporting my Facebook Messenger E2E encrypted chats, however I keep running into a variety of problems, because the process is simply badly written. By default, the process breaks when the website local storage data reaches 10GB - that is, as far as I understand, a Firefox limit. There is still plenty of RAM and disk space remaining. When the local storage hits 10GB, you get a "Quota exceeded" DOM Exception.

To get around that, I've changed browser.cache.disk.smart_size.enabled -> False browser.cache.disk.capacity -> 50GB (values in KB of course) dom.storage.default_quota -> 25GB dom.storage.default_site_quota -> 25GB browser.cache.disk.max_entry_size -> 256MB (seemed like some larger files were missing, like longer videos)

However the process still breaks, although I'm unsure if it wasn't a soft-limit by Facebook the last time (since it stopped downloading around 8,5-9GB, earlier than in previous attempts)

Are there more settings that could be limiting the export apart from those mentioned? I understand this is pushing the browser over the reasonable limits, however I still hope it is possible to override them for that one-off situation before reverting to defaults.

i have 4 accounts on firefox and i cannot remember which account i have been used through years now i cannot sync my old data however i have tried the 4 emails and accounts i used and non of them is working

I started using a tab group to organize my tabs and save it. I was able to open it from the overflow menu before but now there is no trace of it there. Surely there is a way to see the history of tab groups and recover it right...

Как поменять данный цвет на менее контрастный ? У меня включена "темная тема", цвет выделения - ядовито-голубой. Хочу изменить его на другой более мягкий цвет. Как это я могу сделать?

Today I updated Mozilla Firefox to version 146.0 (64-bit). After the update, the highlight color of the tab I just opened appeared in the bookmarks bar (Cntrl+B) in an unwanted way (see screenshot). How can I change this color to a less contrasting one? I have the "dark theme" enabled, and the highlight color is a bright blue. I want to change it to a softer color. How can I do this?

Why am I getting the message "this website is slowing your computer." Windows OS. Firefox is my Browser. One specific website that creates this problem is

a local radio station that I listen to on terrestrial radio and go to if I want to follow up on particular story or program. I usually need to turn my computer off because I cannot navigate the site or open or close it.

A few updates ago I had an extension or setting somewhere which caused a new window to open with the tab which exceeded a pre-defined tab limit. This capability disappeared a few FF updates ago. Is there a way to do this now? Larry

How do I stop my search results from suddenly becoming shortcuts on my home page? This is something that has started relatively recently & I did not request this or change my settings.. The only thing I want on my homepage is actual saved sites that I choose to have on my home page. I now have to spend time every session deleting the history of these unwanted shortcuts from my homepage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just searching for how to stoip this has added this search as a shortcut to my home page- see attached pic.
