I can't send emails
I live in Germany and use t-online for my email. I can receive emails but not send. I have tried to fix it myself but nothing I do has worked. I don't understand all the technical stuff, so this is maybe my problem. Can anyone help me? PLEASE
Maybe there is someone near me in Germany (Obertshausen) by Frankfurt that can Help. I speak German so this would not be a problem.

if you post screenshot of error message and also screenshot of SMTP server settings pane, someone may have ideas. click to the 'account settings' pane, highlight account name in left sidebar, and look to lower right and click the 'edit SMTP' button. I attached a sample screenshot of where to find it.

The default setup from thunderbird is attached. try that
I went to account settings. Clicked server settings it was a match
Then down to outgoing server server name was: smtp.t-online.de not what you showed me: securesmtp.t-online.de Where do I go to change server name?
change it in the pane itself. I included a screenshot to show location

Dang! I'll miss out. :) Anyway, you're welcome. A tip: If you need to do this in the future, try the Thunderbird default before using what others say to use. The default is usually the right one. Regards and don't lose all your money in Las Vegas.
