Customer search engine doesn't show search suggestions

I set Startpage as a custom search engine on Firefox for Android (https://www.startpage.com/do/dsearch?query=%s) and turned search suggestion on, but there aren't any search suggestions. If I use default search engines such as Google or Duckduckgo then the feature functions well; however, it doesn't work for custom search engines. How to fix the problem?

Currently, the custom search engine feature doesn't include a field to enter the suggestion URL (it's a different URL than the results page URL: https://www.startpage.com/cgi-bin/csuggest?query={searchTerms}&limit=10&lang=english&format=json). I don't know whether that is likely to be added in the future.
