Why won't Firefox let me get into ebay UK? Other sites are OK, and this only started a couple of hours ago!

A couple of hours ago (about 6pm UK time), I was having problems with adverts popping up all over my ebay pages. I tried all sorts of things, including deleting cookies, but nothing worked. I then closed ebay down, and tried to get back in to see if I had cleared the problem. Since then, when I enter the address in the address bar, it just dumps me out of firefox and back to the login screen. I can get into ebay UK ok through Internet Explorer and

SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST if no issue Profile or extensions. If persists Please Refresh but do this 1st:

TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.
