With the new Firefox 26.0, the drop down arrows are solid black. It's distracting. I'd like to change their appearance. Can do? I also noticed this after installing it to my new Windows 8.1 Pro, on a desktop. Could that be it? Thanks for helping.

There seems to be a problem on Windows 8.1 where the little triangles suddenly become huge. We've had at least one earlier thread: bookmarks drop-down triangles size changed.

There is a bug on file and a patch is in the works for Firefox 29. You can follow progress here: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/975184#answer-496494

Firefox allows custom style rules to modify or hide the triangles. One approach was posted here: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/975184#answer-509823

That last post may require you to create/edit a userChrome.css file, which a volunteer could describe in more detail.

Thank you very much for your instant answer, exactly what I needed! Glad they're working on it. I'll keep tabs. (An aside: You know, Windows 8.1 Pro is not too desktop friendly. But it works nice and swift. I had to tweak a lot to bring it "back to its senses" for the desktop use.)
