Geez, have to go to 10 different things to even get here!!!! I am having a problem with getting a smaller version of firefox every time I open a new window but it is blank, it looks like your web page, I have to close it out to view my page I was opening. I ran a virus scan and there is nothing. I have windows and firefox is my home page, btw when I go to IE I do not have this problem, Seems like when firefox installs a new version something happens,.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Thanks but this did not work either, I did the safe mode thing earlier and the hardware exceleration a while ago. I am stumped as to what it could be. Thanks though for your trying to help

I did everything again you said this time and instead clicked on the reset fire fox button and so far so good. lets hope this works, because it was getting pretty frustrating having to close that window each time i went to a different screen. Thanks I appreciate it.

hi, I get a smaller screen too, with some sort of survey in it and the Yamahah thing webshop never seems to go away. have now un-ticked the hardware accelaration option, maybe that will do the trick.
