installed new firefox, all bookmarks are gone even when i click on show all bookmarks and restore isnt working.

i just installed the new firefox and i went to look in my bookmarks and nothing was there. i looked under the tab that says show all bookmarks and it popped up a new screen that is completely blank. went into import and back up, then to restore, clicked the last one, it asked the warning question about replacing stuff click yes, then unable to process the backup file pops up. im going to try to shut down my computer and restart but im not hopeful.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
