when i try to get online by hitting my Firefox icon, i get a "unable to connect" message. it started when i downloaded the latest update, i had the same problem with my daughters Aser laptop and i had to use internet Explorer, and now it is happening to my laptop. i have been using Firefox forthe past 6 years, never a problem. So whats up now? .

Try disabling your Firewall and if that worked, go into your Firewall settings and remove Firefox. Depending on your Firewall vendor, you might have to restart Firefox and/or restart your Firewall.
