Nice to hear form you but this is a user forum, not the origin of Firefox or the developers etc.

What I am curious about is 'who' told you to update and how did that come about, as Firefox and Chrome are different cities

You can switch from one but not upgrade from one to the other, but maybe if you are in a small country village you can upgrade to a city and there you can chose.
