Can Tab width be set below 100 without defaulting back?

I want to view more tabs across the top and opened about:config > browser.tabs.tabMinWidth > and changed value to 75. For the rest of the session it worked. Opening a new session and the tab width is 100 again. Help?

Your change should be stored in the prefs.js file in your active profile. Unless there is an optional user.js file overriding prefs.js at startup, failure to save changes to prefs.js often indicates a locked or inaccessible file. See: How to fix preferences that won't save.
