PLEASE stop creating new threads for the same topic. You will get better advice if you post screenshot of what you are wanting to import. Asking for advice on the end result is fruitless. We have no idea what you imported. You cannot just import messages, so a screenshot may explain what you're attempting. My guess is that you have messages from a POP account and want to switch to betterbird. AND, since you prefer betterbird, why are you coming here for advice?

I came HERE because YOU GUYS invented the code which Betterbird is based on. I would have stayed with Thunderbird, but one look at Bugzilla and I saw too many bugs making Thunderbird buggy and a security risk.

Email: POP3 type OS: Windows 10

Ok, we did not write the code; we're just volunteers trying to assist. Let's focus on your problem. You cannot import an account, but if it is a POP account what you can do is recreate the account and then import the inbox and sent folders. Basic steps for that are:

  1. create the POP account' and set file to offline (file>offline) to prevent retrieving messages
  2. Now, exit thunderbird
  3. in windows file explorer, copy the inbox and sent folders from old profile (not the msf entries) to the POP account in new profile at Mail\<POPaccount>, replacing any entries there. Delete any .msf entries
  4. now, from old profile, copy the popstate.dat file from the old POP account in the old profile and save in the Mail\<POPaccount> overwriting the original if there.
  5. now, start thunderbird and go online

A comment: yes, the bugzilla list is long, but many are suggestions and lots and lots of duplicates, and only a small number reflect serious issues.
