I suggest you contact the addon developer, as addons are not supported by Thunderbird. It appears the last update was done in2023.

It seems the add-on is broken with newer Thunderbird releases. Lots of GitHub issues. Is there a workaround? I really need an adblocker

This is the Thunderbird support forum. Add-ons are supported by their respective authors, not by anyone here, but a quick google search would indicate that ublock origin has only ever worked on RSS feeds, not emails. https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/1328g1w/comment/ji3w0g7/
