When I click "Compact Folders", e.g. when in Inbox, all folders are compacted except the Junk folder. I need to do it again clicking on Junk folder and again "Compact Folders". Is that normal?

My experience is that 'compact folders' only compacts the highlighted folder. You might want to experiment with the addon 'xpunge' to compact all folders.

I just notice that actually all folders are compacted if you chose the heading of the email account, not one of the folders in that account
