I keep a few windows open normally - each window has a number of tabs.

Every time I close firefox, whether it's to restart my mac or just to quit and re-open the application, every window opens up but I cannot see it. When I click the firefox icon in my dock, it shows the list of windows, but when I select one, nothing comes up on my screen.

The workaround I have found is to select the window and then go to the menubar and select VIEW > Enter Full Screen. This then maximizes the previously invisible window. I can then minimize the window and adjust the size as I prefer.

Why is this happening? This has been going on for about a year, through various Mac OS updates as well as Firefox updates.

If the browser is running, but not showing on the screen, it could be the window is open outside where you can see it.
