Windows thinks my default browser is a previous version of Firefox, which is still installed for some reason. How do I uninstall previous versions?

When I open a link through a different software than Firefox, it opens a new window of Firefox which looks basically identical, but I can't move the tab over to the window of Firefox I am actually using. In addition Firefox tells me that it is not the default browser, but at the same time it clearly is.
