I tried to send a video from facebook to my dektop and it came up as aphoto not avideo can not send videos to desktop my default player is windows mdia player is that becaue of adobe flash player how do i get them to work with out flash player

i am using wiindows 10 and just learning it some one send me a video in chat box in facebook and when i sent to desktop it came up as a photo not a video. I hve adobe flash installed have video player add on on but it does not come up as a video tried to get a random video from facebook using fire fox and it came up as as html document not a video how do i do this to make it work in firefox
