I do not know what happened. I have been using Firefox for a long time. Now the web page takes up the whole screen and I cannot see the toolbar. Any help would be appreciate. Thank you.

Make sure you do not run Firefox in Full Screen mode (?)

When I'm in Full-Screen mode, the FF browser window does not cover-up the Task Bar. If 'Auto-Hide Task Bar' is checked, then in Full-Screen mode the Task Bar is hidden, but pops-up when cursor is placed at the very bottom of the screen/browser window.

Tap the ALT key and the 'Menu Bar' shows at top briefly. Right-click a blank area up there for a pop-up. Click 'Menu Bar'.

Hi Pj,

This did not help. I am talking about the tool bar at the bottom of the screen. I cannot see my clock or any of the other things I had on the bottom of the screen. Thanks for trying.

That is the Task Bar, part of Windows not part of Firefox.

With Firefox closed, right-click at the bottom of the Windows Desktop and see if Lock the taskbar has a check-mark.

Make sure you do not run Firefox in Full Screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).

When you are in Full Screen mode, hover the mouse to the top of the screen to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. You can use one of these to leave Full Screen mode:

  • press the F11 key
  • click the Maximize button at the right end of the Tab bar
  • click the Full Screen button in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list
  • right-click empty space on a toolbar and click "Exit Full Screen Mode"
