Why are my e-mails put on the Firefox web page? I don't want them left on "ANY" page.

The new page that comes up when tapping the Firefox Icon shows my activity on various sites. I do not like them showing. If I need to access them I will look in my history, or I put them in my folders. These have been stored where I want them to be. How do I get them off from now on? I tried to delete them but they come back after the 2nd or 3rd one supposedly is deleted.

Click the cog-wheel / gear icon in the top right corner of the new tab page and uncheck the box "Top sites"
