After the last update I noticed (although this may have been present before) that the "Show remote content" notification bar has higher priority than the read confirmation bar. In other words - if someone sends me a message with remote content and asks me to confirm that I read it, I have to either show the remote content first or click away the notification bar regarding the remote content. I won't even see there's a confirmation request until I do this. It's especially annoying for people who have remote logos in their signature.

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

My Thunderbird is 52.1.1 (64-Bit) on Ubuntu Linux.

As far as I'm concerned, the "Show remote content" bar should be a higher priority than the Read confirmation bar. It is more important.

It seems to me that if a person doesn't show the remote content, then they are not as likely to confirm that they read the e-mail. If you often get e-mail from a person, then you should choose to always see the remote content for that person.

Perhaps both bars should be shown, but there are probably programming reasons why they don't.
