when I run my account am asked if I want to creat an account and have to go through several hoops before getting to my inbox which downloads afresh each time.

This started several days ago after my comp appeared to be 'taken over' while I was using it. Was it a forced Windows 10 update? I'm not sure but ...? I just turned every thing off and ever since my Thunderbird suggests I start a new account and I have to go through several clics and fill-ins to get to my inbox which downloads afresh each time. My Skype was also doing strange things but letting Windows 7 run CHKDSK seems to have solved that. I would very much like to get back to normal service. Thanks for any help. af.

Ok folks - magic?!, When I started up Thunderbird just after sending the question (to get the 'verify your address' email) it was back to normal! Thank you phantom fixer!
