Disapearing emails TB 38.7.2.
My TB version is 38.7.2. I am running Win7 Pro 64bit SP1. My emails from two accounts from one domain and different folders (inbox, sent, IMAP folders) disappear. One folder content at the time. I am attaching a print-screen from the Activity Manager how it looks in the program. The *.msf file is not moved, also the database is not touched. Then client downloads all the emails again from the server, building up the database twice as big. And so on and so on it grows after each disappearing which happens 2-3 times a day. Compacting shrinks the size to the initial size. For all accounts I am using IMAP. First I tried with portable version, after this problem I set it up again from the scratch. Then I uninstalled one by one: AVG Antivirus, Malwarebytes, Spybod S&D. Then I installed desktop version. Also I tried TB in safe mode. Problem still persist. I installed TB about 2-3 weeks ago and it started from the very beginning. Any idea what may be the cause of that ? May it be something wrong with the provider ? In the meantime I will try another client just for this accounts to see if it happens there also. Thank you.

Ok, I just checked with Windows Live Mail and MailBird. Also just got deleted another 538 emails. Happened only in TB.
Sounds like a server problem to me. You should talk to your email provider.
Don't you think other programs would behave similarly ? Also I have got two accounts from this provider and all this s**t happens 98% to only one of them (maybe only to one ? I don't remember really if it happened to the other one, maybe one or twice ?). Just got deleted all msgs from 3 folders at same time :)

I am running now desktop ver 45
Given that messages reset and redownload. I suggest you delete the account from Thunderbird and create it again. Just in case there is something corrupted in there.
Usually these sorts of thing are from Yahoo as they keep resetting their message Id's and therefore invalidating the ones Thunderbird has. This can also happen on other mail systems, it is just most common on Yahoo. Things like server software upgrades and some housekeeping function on a server can cause this.
I did reset it a couple of times with no luck. Also contacted provider and they opened a ticked but I don't think they will do anything about it. But then, why such behavior doesn't occur on other desktop clients as described. Might it be that they are smarter and can deal with such changes on a server ?
