Why are my SENT messages not saved in the Sent file on my Shaw webmail server? They are in my Thunderbird Sent file, but I want them also left on the server.

You using POP or IMAP?
"Server type: Pop Mail server"
Pop only connects to the server Inbox. You need IMAP if you want to sync all folders.
Thanks. This is maybe a stupid question but how would I rectify that?
If you want your folders on the server use IMAP.

A word of advice: set up a new account using IMAP - don't try to change your existing account from POP to IMAP.
