When any designed product gets updated every day, something's wrong. I found this to be true today as, with the new update, a years worth of research pages which I stored in Bookmarks got wiped out. Thanks for F*&&*ing up the best browser

PS - Don't ask me to be nice, stop trying to change everything

Sorry to hear about your bookmarks, Firefox updates should never cause you to lose bookmarks.

Have you checked to see whether you can restore any of the period backups? This article describes how to check for those: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.

If the backups also are missing, could you check whether you have an Old Firefox Data folder on the desktop? If the Refresh feature ran during your update, there would be a recently updated, semi-randomly-named folder in site -- your old settings folder -- and you can drill down into there and find the bookmarkbackups folder with your previous bookmark backup files and try to restore from there (use "Choose File..." on the restore menu).

Any luck?

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.

Unless you were Testing the Aurora (developer Edition) or Nightly channel builds (which can be almost everyday) then you should not get updates very often if you were using Release versions.
