Thunderbird will not run at monitor's 144hz speed
I have a Asus ROG Swift monitor running at 144hz. After installing Thunderbird, I've noticed that whenever Thunderbird is the application that is at the forefront/being used, the monitor refresh rate is really low. I can tell by the cursor ghosting and the monitor slightly flickering. My monitor also stated that it was down to 60hz for thunderbird; however, I haven't found a way for thunderbird to run at the higher 144hz speed. Is there a fix for this?

Windows display is per window, or screen, not per application. The refresh rate is a matter between the monitor and the video card. It has nothing to do with application software.

So are you saying that software/applications can't affect the refresh rate or frames per second? Then how do I fix this problem that I am having with Thunderbird?
In Thunderbird Help > TRoubleshooting Information scroll down to 'Graphics' section Copy / paste all Graphics info into this question, so the forum knows what you are running.
Check: Is your graphics card is running most up to date driver. report back with info.
