Every time I try to get into the email address in gmail that I have been using for several years I get this error message: Invalid Email Address. I tried everything that troubleshooting recommended with no change in the error. Yesterday I set a new gmail address which I can access. However, all of my emails go to my original address and I really do not want to use the new address as it is cumberson, and I will not be able to access my old emails. I have just changed to Kubuntu 12.04, but I don't see how this would affect my email, as gmail is OS independent. I also searched the 100 pages of Q&A in troubleshooting with the search subject "Invalid Email Address" but could not locate anything on my problem. Please help as I need to access the gmail account. Thanks

Thanks for the help. I realized that the problem was with my change of my OS from Ubuntu to Kubuntu: I needed to set-up a new email client. All is well now. (I hope.)
