Setting Yahoo as the default search engine

I have been unable to add Yahoo as the default search engine. No matter what address I type in, it consistently comes up with "Could not add OpenSearch Provider for".

Could you please clarify whether this question is related to Firefox, or Thunderbird?

me.at.here.55 - I had found that address, too, but that doesn't work either - same error.

jbr - I'm sorry, I did forget to mention I was referring to Thunderbird. (I thought I was in the Thunderbird message area but maybe I'm not.)
