When using Netflix in full screen there is a slim transparent bar which shows my desktop at the top of the frame. It was not here a few days ago, i might have updated since then. It does not appear in YouTube full screen but i have not tried any other websites to see if it's there. Restarting my system and Firefox did not resolve the issue. Is there any way to fix this, or do i have too wait for a bug fix/the problem to be identified?

Could be a problem with the Dark Reader extension.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the Default System theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

I followed the instructions. The problem disappeared in troubleshoot mode, after which i tried only turning off hardware acceleration. With hardware acceleration off the problem disappeared. I did look if there were any graphics driver updates but none came up. Hope that helps.
