can I have different sets of favorites? I dont want to lose my current bookmarks

Here are two things you can try:

1) Create another user profile and set it up as you wish.

2) Create a new folder in the bookmarks manager with those links you want.
You can then place this new folder in the Bookmarks Toolbar for quick access.
