Now fixed and everything works again. I have changed nothing so either Mozilla or Netflix have made some changes.

When the player appears, are you getting the first frame or just black?

Does the right-click context menu have player controls on it?

Users who turned off autoplay reported problems with no controls being displayed, so they had to move the mouse around watching for the "arrow" to change to a "hand" to locate and click the hidden play button.

But you might have a different issue.

Hi, thanks for responding.

I get the first frame and it thinks it is playing (the pause button shows) but nothing happens. Pressing the pause button achieves nothing, it is inoperative in FF.

There is no right click context menu in either FF or Chrome but Chrome plays it properly.

Will try to attach an image of what I can see in FF

Welcome to Firefox, the devs are sleeping atm, hibernation :)

Are you using NoScript? If so, try to temp. allow all access when on the page.

Thanks for responding. No, not using noscript.

If you haven't already, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?

Thank you for responding jscher2000.

Sadly, the same issue remains. Netflix will only go as far as the first frame and then freeze with the pause button showing but inoperative as per the picture I posted earlier.

I can see the program buffering as the grey bar extends beyond the red and I can scroll the red circle backwards and forwards to get to different parts of the program. It will show the correct frame but will not play it.

Did the same with my GTX970, only fitted the 1080 two days ago.

PS the error message means nothing to me. :)

Hi, you and me both. u, is good, un is not. It is something you have done though as per : u'Enabled for Windows 7 via user-preference', u'type': u'user'} No sign of the error in a Google search so is something would have to check their site or forum for : BLOCKLIST_FEATURE_FAILURE_BUG_1419264

So what went on with disabling Adblock Plus and giving NF a try ?

Made no difference. Had already tried restart with all addons disabled but tried specifically disabling Adblock but same old problem
