I thought I was making a donation to Firefox and I get a confirmation from Wikimedia Foundation, what's up?

There was a pop-up asking for donations to Mozilla Firefox and I decide to donate. I get a confirmation response a few hours later form Wikimedia. Who are they? Are they associated with Firefox? Or did someone steal from me, identity theft? I need to know what's going on, please?
