Fetching
Rarely fetches emails automatically at 15 minutes. I can fetch manually. This has been going on before the last update. I haven't changed any settings. Sometimes it fetches when I open the app. Other times I must fetch manually. Also, we should be able to fetch sooner than 15 minutes.

Have you allowed the app to run in the background and/or excluded it from Android's battery optimization. This can often be the cause of sync issues. Where sync intervals below 15 minutes are desired, enabling the Push service is recommended on imap connections and delivers emails immediately.
