I'd like to make sure that my Thunderbird is in the server type of IMAP I'm new at this so I don't know how it is connected to a another server email which I would eventually like to close out and delete but keep everything in my Thunderbird.

When I "Star" an email it disappears out of Inbox completely and I can only see it if I click on the "Star" option in the sorting menu. I've looked to see if there is a "Starred" folder but can't find one. I've now discovered that if someone replies to an email that I've starred I get no notification at all, it is just added to the thread. The next time I sort by Star I suddenly see unread replies to previously starred emails - bit of a nightmare! So, is there a way that I can adjust settings to: 1. Leave starred messages in the Inbox (or the folder that I move them to), but allow me to sort by Star when I need to? 2. Have new replies to previously starred messages appear as new notifications, the same way they do for normal emails.

Hi, when I search for emails from "name person," the search does not return results. When I search by email address, it does not find emails from that person but instead finds emails from other people. It isn't working? 🫥🤔

Hi. For a long time, I've noticed that emails I send from home are sent, but those I try to send with the same settings do not get sent when connected to the Internet in 4 out of 4 cafes. My ISP, Zen, hasn't been able to explain why. I've tested whether Google VPN blocks it somehow, and it doesn't. I normally use Thunderbird. Today, I found that, in the same cafe, messages I tried to send using Thunderbird failed to send, whereas there was no problem with GMail, Proton Mail or Outlook. Any suggestions?

Hi If i get a mail with a PDF, I can't open it. The Programm i use to open, says that the File is damaged. With the PC or other mail programs i can open it. Any idears?

Hi, some emails are not readable or better say visible in Thunderbird for Android in Dark Mode. In Light mode it's fully visible (see Screenshots). Is it an issue in Thunderbird, or it's a problem of the email format?

Get an error message with... Error 403: disallowed_useragent ...when trying to sign in.

OK, I give up. As far as I know, my settings for TB for Android are the same as TB for Windows. However, I have 1300 emails in the Inbox in TB for Windows (and can search them), but only about 20-30 in TB for android (hopeless for a search). What am i doing wrong?

Haven't changed any settings. On two accounts, both hosted at heart internet, today I've started getting Certificate errors - check your settings in android notifications. Mails appear in sent but are not going out, no incoming mail.

Another account with the same settings and host is still working fine on bluemail.

I can't find any useful settings or diagnostics to check.

Other accounts using Hotmail are still fine.

Ideas?
