MS NOW will not stream on Firefox, all other videos will play ok
I haven't been able to stream videos from the MS NOW website for the last 2 weeks. It has worked great for years. And it's only the MS NOW site, all other websites will play videos. I've tried tips from the web for 5 hours. Nothing worked. I've contacted MS NOW help, and they recommend a different web browser, but I'm happy with Firefox that I've been using for the past 12 years. So far I have: Reloaded the page Checked internet connection Restart browser Restart PC Cleared cache and cookies Disabled extensions Firefox is up to date Reset browser settings All graphics drivers are kept updated Scanned for malware Turned off Firewall Did a msdt.exe -id MaintenanceDiagnostic Disabled all non Microsoft startup sevices
My system: Win7 Home Premium 64 bit OS (very stable) Firefox version 115.30 COX provider
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes it is and I also still have a laptop that dual boots 7 and linux, but you have try the same site on a newer system and see what happens. Site works for me on linux. see screenshot If you don't want win11, just get a linux system up and running and do the same things on it until you're comfortable. I started back in the Win XP days. ;-)) Seeing several win7 users lately with similar issues on different sites. I'll try the site later and see what happens.
Thanks for your reply back jonzn4SUSE I've tried Linux (Ubuntu and Mint) in the past, but there was too much of a learning curve. It's just frustrating that it worked great, and then 2 weeks ago it stopped with nothing changed, except maybe the Firefox updates. I'll have to my news sources from other websites (Newsnation, The Hill, The Atlantic, Meet the Press, etc. I wonder if others have this problem?
Many win7 user are getting the message that it's time to update. Websites are or have moved forward. Users cannot expect sites to keep things working for good old win7. Just time to hit ebay and get a good spec laptop to run something newer. I several laptops plus a mac from 2012. see screenshot Just get something that you run along side your win7, but you have to stick with it to get better at linux. Similar to most things in life. You have to start and stay with it to get better at it.

Firefox no longer supports 32-bit Linux systems. We recommend installing the 64-bit version for continued updates and support.https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2025/09/05/firefox-32-bit-linux-support-to-end-in-2026

Thanks for everyone's input. I feel like in this day and age I'm required to have a Maserati to go to the grocery store. As a 78 year old fart, I started with Win 3.2, and am so tired of technology always having something new coming down the pike with steep learning curves, and more whistles and bells. Living in Mesa Az, I see driverless cars daily, AI, and Crypto. Back to the Future. I feel the problem isn't my PC or Firefox, but with MSNOW that used to be MSNBC just a few weeks ago. There are other great quality web news sites I'll use. Thanks from an old timer that remembers that pong was the only game on Commodore and loved Netscape Navigator.
