incognito browing and all the sudden my entire page opens to a walmart ad..I don't go to walmart why is this going on this morning
Incognito, opened a newspaper page, then my medical site to see abt apt, then walmart took over my entire page not a little ad, the entire page. This happened twice. I cleared my cache, but I was and always am incognito. Why is this happening. I feel like restarting my computer from factory at this point I do not want anything taking over my page.

Hi momknowsnotech, is the ad launching in a new tab (back button is grayed out; can't go back) or as an overlay that covers the content of the current tab?
With a new tab, you usually can close it using Ctrl+w or the tab close button.
With an overlay, you usually need to find a close button (commonly an X at the upper right, but sometimes a button or link at the bottom of the ad) to clear the ad off of the page content.
Firefox's private windows (similar to incognito windows in other browsers) may block some ads as part of Tracking Protection, but this feature doesn't block all ads launched by web pages. If you are encountering too many ads, you could consider trying an add-on that blocks more of them, such as
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
With any content blocking feature or add-on, there will be times that a page is broken due to too much blocking. Keep an eye on the toolbar -- Shield icon at the left for the built-in feature, add-on button toward the right end -- in case you need to adjust the amount of blocking for a particular site.
