it was false as I just checked :(

Question, why they don't run tests before launching their 70 version of the update, they should've known better that each update after 70 updates need to be tested.... I just don't get it....

Hi sammm, Firefox releases evolve over a period of 3 months and during that time are tested by thousands of users of pre-release versions (Nightly, Developer, Beta), but that can't cover all of the millions of real world configurations, so there will always be individual situations that do not go according to plan.

Have you already tried clearing Firefox's cache? See: How to clear the Firefox cache.

Hi sammm, if this wasn't fixed by turning off "next gen" storage in about:config, does it help at all to set it back to true??

If not, you might need to keep it on false and hide some files from Firefox and let them rebuild over time.

Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table on the page, on the Profile Folder row, click the "Open Folder" button. This should launch a new window listing various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Exit
  • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause briefly while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then double-click into the storage folder.

Right-click default and Rename to something like defaultOLD -- the purpose of renaming instead of deleting is the possibility of reinstating the old folder.

Start Firefox back up again. Do sites work?
