On loading the Sydney Morning Herald paper replica (subscription required) I get this message "An error occured during application startup: "NotFoundError: The operation failed because the requested database object could not be found. For example, an object store did not exist but was being opened.". Do you want to reload application?" Hi, for being only 2mos old your Video Card Drivers need to be reinstalled and then possibly left alone. Most of all the drivers have errors, Firefox likes good drivers. adapterDescription: NVIDIA Quadro P4000 driverDate: 4-22-2018

Note, it is a Dell You want the full version Installer not a update
After you have figured out your Video Card Drivers see what happens with the page.
Thanks for your reply Pkshadow.
On installing this driver R375 U5 (376.84), the system crashed but on restart and reinstallation the same error (as originally posted) came up.
I have now installed the most recent driver R390 U7 (391.89)- still have this problem. It's an annoyance, but I can open the newspaper site with MS Edge so it's not disabling. This is the only site so far that I have found this problem. My laptop (less advanced system win 10) is ok so the website works. It's frustrating as Firefox seems to be better to use for this site than Edge

Hi cor-el, thank you for your detailed reply I have systematically worked through your list and read the mozilla support articles. The problem occurred in safe mode and I tried uninstalling Java but to no avail. It's after 1 am here and I'll have another try in the morning just in case I've missed something I do appreciate the support from the forum
You're welcome.
If you use a bookmark then navigate to the web page starting with the main page or the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.
Success!!!! I was about to go to bed, but decided to do another restart, reinstalled Firefox and went to safe mode- all ok. Then went to normal and it is ok. Thanks to you both cor-el and Pkshadow, I've learnt a lot about Firefox through your efforts. I'm not sure what finally did it, but am suspicious it could have been the restart after Java was uninstalled. To my recollection the other steps were the same but the restart may have helped with these steps. (By the way I wasn't using bookmarks) Much appreciated
