I lost my search bar after latest update to 56-0

With the update, I completely lose my search bar. When I enter customize the bar returns. On exit customize, I lose it again. Changing it to 'old' search bar made no difference. I am using windows 10 64 bit but notice the Firefox update is 32 bit. Can this make a difference?

You could also look for an extension called 'Search Shield Study', which is part of the same project.

Hi  ! This may be caused by the TAARExperiment extension, which is part of a Mozilla Shield Study. Would you go to the 3-bar menu (or 'Tools') => Add-ons => Extensions and see if it's there  ? If so : disable it (or remove it) and things should be back to normal.

Note that you can open the about:studies page to see currently installed Shield studies and possibly disable specific studies.
